The GuardRFID ST-3BLF-TR Staff Tag is in an ID-badge form factor that is easy to wear and easy to activate. The LED lights and buzzer on the tag can also be programmed to enable customer-specified acknowledgements and other communication back to the caregiver. With a one-year typical battery life the Staff Tag is low-maintenance to minimize logistics time and expense. SafeGuard Staff Duress utilizes 433MHz Active RFID communication technology for enhanced range, maximum immunity to physical shielding and radio-frequency interference, and robust communication not requiring line-of-site (LOS). The GuardRFID 433MHz communication protocol is widely recognized as industry-leading for speed and reliability. This ensures that a caregiver’s personal device, GuardRFID’s ST-3BLF-TR Staff Tag, can be counted on when it is most needed.
Enhance Safety Through Precise Location
Older technology utilizing infrared (IR) and radio-frequency (RF) technology often communicate either ambiguous or highly inaccurate location information costing precious seconds in the response of safety personnel to a critical event. SafeGuard Staff Duress utilizes GuardRFID’s advanced RTLS technology to pinpoint a tag’s last known location using one or more available locating technologies. Utilizing a network of receivers, SafeGuard locates staff utilizing triangulation that can be as accurate as 2-4 meters (6-12 feet) in a typical institutional environment. Room-level exciters can also deployed to locate staff in a specific room or other area of interest.
Enhance Safety Through Rich Situational Awareness
The SafeGuard system can provide instant situational awareness through multiple duress alarm messaging options including the following: client workstation alarms, email, pagers, SMS/text, and voice messaging. In addition, the SafeGuard network architecture allows for integration with an IP-based CCTV video management server to show live and archived video on workstations within the specific unit, within the building, and at a central security monitoring location.
Staff Down Alarm
The ST-3BLF-TR Staff Tag includes man down detection technology to further enhance the safety of your staff. Should the Staff Tag go horizontal then the tag will give a warning to the wearer for a programmable period of 5 to 30 seconds. If the tag is not returned a vertical position by the time the warning period end, then the Staff Tag will send a signal to the system triggering immediate messaging of identity and location information. The emergency staff down alarm can also trigger live and archived video of the scene should CCTV cameras be present in the area.
Additional Functionality
SafeGuard also enables your healthcare facility to locate and track patients and equipment using the same infrastructure installed for your Staff Duress system. GuardRFID Active RFID tags for patients and assets can be admitted into the SafeGuard system allowing staff to significantly reduce or eliminate the valuable and costly time spent searching for patients and equipment.
